In winter 2020, I wrote a grant proposal submitted to NYU’s Office of Sustainability Green Grant program on behalf of Prof. Vanessa Harden to fund her new integrated program, IDM.Grow. This program aims to promote sustainability and social justice within the design field by providing students the opportunity to actively engage in an impact-led design process. This project involved working closely with Prof. Harden to define the program, describe the program’s proposed impact on sustainability, and identify methodologies for measuring success. Green Grant funding of $11,000 was awarded to the IDM.Grow program in February 2020.
