The Book of Alice

Using only Javascript, I created a random text generator called The Book of Alice, which combines phrases from Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland and the King James Bible. The generated passages are given random numbers, and the resulting verses are displayed over tiled screenings of a clip from the 1931 film of Alice in Wonderland, overlaid with cascading colors.

Users can generate new passages (“Feed your soul”) by clicking anywhere on the screen. To download the text of the passage (“Save your soup”), users must click the down arrow.
